Or work in construction (a formerly high paying job), work on a road crew, operate heavy equipment, hotel work, restaurant work, meatpacking, aircraft mechanics (yes, aircraft mechanics) those who mow lawns, technicians for AT&T, etc.

Besides, why put down ditch diggers or fruit pickers? Citizens of this country have rights to those jobs too if they need them.

Al contraire mon ami; the more soft money is shifted out of the U.S. market, the better, approximately 55% of the existent notes (U.S. money, US dollars) are used as currency or deposited in foreing countries, if a significant part is brought back to our economy, it would cause significant inflation, and the dollar value would drop quite a bit, collapsing our economy.Immigrant workers help our economy in more than one way.

Don't forget the construction industry with jobs paying well over $20 an hour in California!

The USA is for Americans/legal visitors/green card holders only----------all others must leave up to and including DREAMies. Needless to say; the enablers of said illegals need back off as well--------or else

Why? For driving down wages and looting the U.S. taxpayers?

If U.S. Taxpayers didn't have to pay for so many services for illegal aliens, they would have MORE money to spend on things to boost up this consumer based economy..

You must first have “one” benefit, before you can have “more than” one way.

Seeing how engineering and computer science majors are not brimming with Americans...maybe?

I went to UCSB, it's majority White (55% of the student population). The computer science majors were, well, not representative of the population as a whole. Typically, they were of Asian or Indian descent and were (many times) first or second generation. Contrast that to History, where many times I was the only minority in the class.

This is all speculation...but IT is def. not as American as it once was. Even evident in the percentages of those obtaining computer science degrees.

i am sure in their own minds illegals they think they are doing wonders for our economy, but the statistics speak for themselves. by the way, unemployment is at 9.2% now and that is only the official unemployment, not the shadow statistics which run much higher.
by the way, that post was economic nonsense.

Why should it matter what race or ethnicity dominates a particular field? Aren’t we all “American?” Now, if you stated our universities are disproportionately being attended by “foreigners,” that would be cause for some concern. I would think you would consider the fact that there are more “minorities” pursuing careers in these fields as being indicative of progress, or equal opportunity.
