What does the U.S gain by deporting her?

At least it's only for a year.

This is total bs. The family came over legally, they did all the right things but due to a lawyers error a little girl will be forced to live in Poland for a year?!
I say in cases like these where a lawyer is at fault, the lawyer ought to be deported and spend a year in Poland attempting to rectify his mistake.

In 2000, Ewelina's father brought her and her mother into the United States illegally through Mexico, Odom said. He became a lawful permanent resident in 1992 and a citizen in 2006.
They should still allow her to stay though.

Sorry, I don't care how young or old you are. The family is illegal. Deport them back to their homeland. They need to apply to come here legally.

Anymore; I have to agree with your opinion as well.

Hate to say it, but they were smuggled into this country. There time is up and now they get a free trip home. Since the dad committed an illegal smuggling, he should get the option to go with them free of charge, or spend 3-10 years in jail for smuggling, just like the coyotes get when they are caught.

Yes, you have to read far enough to get to the part where the father deliberately broke the laws to smuggle her in illegally.

It's like giving a kid a generous allowance but it turns out you robbed a bank or burglarized a house to get the money.

Besides, this is an excellent opportunity for the girl to learn a second language - we always are told how great that is to do, she can learn another culture - her own. If she's unhappy in her own country, she only has her dear ole dad to blame for trying to cut corners and get ahead of those who respect our laws.

Now where is the Polish La Raza club trying to make this only about race? I think because of the way this family went about it, they should all be returned home.
