Just wondering who either (a) has extremely punitive measures for illegal aliens so that there is absolutely no benefit to crossing the border illegally or (b) is so wretched nobody wants to illegally immigrate there.

Would you believe India has illegal aliens? Yes they do. Many from Bangladesh and Pakistan.

I'm certain that Switzerland has very few of them due to its government's INTENSE enforcement of laws and implementation of numerous punitive laws. The society is very much law and order-focused and the political party running the country, the Swiss People's Party, is very, very right-wing, nationalistic and 100% opposed to any illegal immigrants and any kind of law violations committed by legal immigrants.

Well Hawaii has Illegals so anything is possible. I doubt any Island is safe anymore much the less Country.

Actually; believe it or not, Mexico has a significant problem with illegals from especially Guatemala.

Although: Mexico's per capita income is to Guatemala what ours is to Mexico's-------that Central American nation is that poor.

I've met illegal immigrants in Switzerland.

No country on Earth "doesn't have" illegals. Most, however, do not have them in remotely the numbers that we have here; nor are they able to live openly, and be guaranteed as many rights and protections as the illegals here. In many places, they're treated quite harshly, and are subject to intermittent violent 'purges'.

But no, there's no country on Earth without illegals.....just as there is no country on earth entirely free of corruption or violence....or entirely educated or literate. It's all a matter of degree, and importantly, how these societies DEAL with these situations.
