McALLEN — Record high temperatures topping 100 degrees in recent weeks here in South Texas have made illegally entering the country on foot even more dangerous than usual.

But the number of immigrants willing to brave the region’s desolate and perilous ranch country on foot has significantly dropped with the downturn in the economy, authorities said.
Amid high temperatures, immigrant deaths, rescues down in South Texas | mcallen, amid, rescues - Local - Brownsville Herald (http://www.brownsvilleherald.com/news/mcallen-99853-amid-rescues.html - broken link)

Thank goodness.

Perhaps now the Mexican government will now be pressured more to clean itself up and make the country a worthwhile place to live instead of relying on the US to be its main, if not only, dumping ground and safety valve?

Last month a group of Chinese [illegal] immigrants in distress used a beacon to summon agents for assistance, Lopez said.
Chinese illegal aliens?

<<Chinese illegal aliens?>>

Yep! They head for Mexico by boat where they're let off on a deserted beach, then make their way north. A few years ago a ship was found off the coast of Southern California with about 900 illegal Chinese aliens on board. Apparently it was headed for some remote beach in Mexico.

Imagine if they had that sort of determination to fix the place they came from.

Well, I'm sure that all of the bleeding heart liberals and pro illegal enablers, all with agendas, who are so concerned about the unwanted illegal future Democratic voter trespassers, if amnestied, dying in the dessert wouldn't mind too much if these bottles of water put out for the unwanted illegal trespassers were replaced by the BP with phones in direct contact with the BP so that the BP could quickly arrive and administer water prior to kicking the illegals azzes back to mexico. Then too, it's a lot more effective if the BP doesn't get there in time to save every unwanted dying illegal trespasser...... Pictures of unwanted illegal trespassers who died of thirst should be posted every 1000 yards along the border, you know, to save lives.

In many cases that would mean fixing themselves more than fixing the place. If these same people would stay in school, finish their education and get some job skill and a job and delay having many children until they could afford them, then they wouldn't have to do this.

Much of this is directly due to our generous welfare system where no one can fail, if they have children here that they can't afford, it will be the welfare handout life for them, back home they'd have to work to support their families.
