If Nevada would enforce our immigration laws, they wouldn’t have such a large illegal workforce. As long as the environment is hospitable, they will continue to flock there. How about mandating E-Verify, rather than aiding and abetting.

Quote:
A class-action lawsuit recently filed by the undocumented employees of a local cleaning company underscores that workers who are in the country illegally have many of the same workplace rights that U.S. citizens have.

That’s particularly important in Nevada because illegal immigrants make up an estimated 12.2 percent of the state’s workforce, according to a 2008 Pew Hispanic Center study.

Nevada Labor Commissioner Michael Tanchek says his agency is firmly resolved to remove what would otherwise be a “perverse incentive” for employers to hire and take advantage of undocumented workers by paying them less than the minimum wage — or nothing at all.

American taxpayers already spend $338 BILLION yearly to just incarcerate, medicate, educate illegal aliens while they send home $80 BILLION. Individual Americans of Illegal alien crime pay their personal funeral, medical, etc costs. American wages plummet from competition with illegals (meatworkers used to earn $20 hourly, now $12). Lower wages pay lower taxes, lower tax income gives less support to infrastructure with some entities (CA) choosing to go into red rather than limit spending to income. But we have "cheap labor" for U.S. Chambers of Commerce, and AFL-CIO. All chambers of commerce are not affiliated with U.S. Chambers---Davis County (UT) chamber independent but Ogden/Weber Chamber a U.S. Chambers affiliate. I don't shop Ogden/Weber County. If you have $2,000 of stock in a company for at least one year, agree to hold for at least one year more, you can write a stockholder's proxy suggestion in 500 words to be presented for shareholder vote at annual meeting. I'm suggesting the companies I hold stock in require all branches use E-Verify, the 99.8% accurate, fast ,free program to check all new employees are legal----meticulous hiring beats an ICE raid any day.Ranch Lady in Utah
