On another thread it stated the percentage of Mexicans who know someone or have relatives in the US and it was quite high. If they are Illegally here, well that says it all. The bond is the two are related.

Not true! He is not pulling anyone over for their looks it is still based on the suspicion or knowledge of a minor offense such as a traffic violation or a more major offense first. It is then and only then after questioning the suspect that he uses the characteristic criteria that could depict the suspect was an illegal alien. If someone fits those characteristics but are here legally they would have valid I.D. and then let go other than being cited for the offense they were stopped for. Stop spreading untruths!

No ID gets you a trip to the jailhouse here, and you stay until they find out just exactly who you are, no matter what you look like. You must carry ID on you at all times. It is the law, you know.

I should have said provide. But to be able to provide it, you must have it with you.
You aren't required to carry an ID. But failure to provide identification to a police officer can be considered interfering with the officer's performance of their duties, which can get you in trouble and a trip to the pokey. The Supreme Court said that withholding ID from a police officer is not a protected activity under the 1st Amendment.
