Do people really believe that there is a shortage of jobs because of illegal immigrants?
I believe that the laws on the books from American Legislatures is what creates a shortage of jobs.
If this was a free country, we would not need to worry about where people came from. But b.c we have so many laws that REGULATE (CONTROL) businesses here in America, and have so many laws that REGULATE (CONTROL) citizens of America, we have businesses going overseas where they can actually produce stuff without worrying about big brother.
But for some reason America has always wanted to become like Britain, ever since we departed from them.
Stop blaming poor Mexicans for what we created ourselves in DC and in the other capitals...
(the government wants you to blame Mexicans.... corporations.... CEO's....etc..../anything that gets your attention off the real cause of the problems)
Get rid of the laws that regulate and control and tax and tax businesses and employees. And we will have prosperity once again. Let people choose where they work, instead of shutting down businesses for having "unsafe work conditions" that the other 99% of the world could only dream of having available in their areas....
Blaming Illegals for trying to feed themselves and their families, is like blaming a wet homeless puppy in the rain for wagging it's tail.
And for those that say "they are ILLEGALS.. they broke the law.. send them back!!"...
- I say to you... How many laws have you broken in the last day? the last month? the last year? There are SO MANY LAWS in this country now, that 99.99% of the population breaks some law at least once every week... So please don't tell me or anyone in the younger generation to have respect for the law anymore, when anything and everything can and will be against the law soon enough at this pace.
You have 535 legislatures that couldn't recite 5 constitutional ammendments if you asked them. Yet you worry about poor Mexicans for breaking the law? When you have at least over 500 ignorant legislatures making the laws?
In closing, quit blaming the little guy just trying to get by....
Try using those same arguments if in Mexico illegally; you would be arrested (or worse) and, despite my contempt for its dysfunctional society---------I would back 'em up 100%. Mexico, like the USA, is a sovereign nation.
'Yer jerbs' --- just who talks like that? Noone I know.
Oh, but you were inferring that people who are against illegal immigration are ignorant hicks, rednecks if you will. I can see how open minded you are
At anyrate, yes illegal immigrants take jobs but more to the point the drive down salaries. They are much like the scab labor that tried to break the labor unions at the beginning of the last century. The fact that they are able to drive out legal labor does not make them 'good' for the nation. At all. They drive down wages which hurt the blue collar worker the most....and isn't that the subgroup the dems are supposed to be fighting for?
Hmmm, at anyrate your idea that only the best and the brightest are coming here illegally is rather absurd. The majority are uneducated and unskilled and tend to produce more children than they can support. Hardly a class of people we need more of. As to those in IT who are overstaying their visas....again, that is about scab labor. Or do you really think they are making the same pay as legal workers in the IT field? If the American middle class becomes extinct illegals will have had quite the hand in that.
I am not excusing our politicians btw, or business for that matter. I know full well their complicity in this. After all, who has the most to gain by cheap labor? Who has the most to gain by a population who is poor and desperate?
If we didn't have laws our country would be in chaos. If we didn't have immigration laws our country would be overwhelmed with the world's poor competing for jobs and resources in this country. Culturally we would be in a constant civil war.
When an American breaks a law and are caught they pay the penalty. Why should it be any different for an illegal foreigner? These open border freaks know not what they ask for. They have to be the stupidest people on this earth to not be able to think beyond their noses and the consquences of all of the above.
Why do people think Illegal Immigrants take "yer jerbs"????
See, this is precisely the type of rhetoric that creates so much divisiveness. Was it necessary to say “yer jerbs?†Wouldn’t a more intelligent approach have been to say “your jobs?â€

I'll take , "What is good for Mexico for 500 and the win"!
The skill I chose as a career, that was once profitable, has fast become one of those jobs Americans can no longer AFFORD to do.
I'll tell you why.
I must be able to pay my bills, insurance and licenses to stay in business as a flooring installation contractor, that refuses to use illegal labor as help or subcontract.
I cannot compete with those that run illegal labor businesses. They are bidding projects at lower pricing than I was getting in the 1970's. To stay in business as a legal business, I must charge 5-10 times what they are doing it for.
Some understand and is the main reason I get the work at my higher rates, because they have been down that road before and it was not pretty. Most look at price and don't care about the reasons I charge more, until the project is finished and the bitter taste of a bad job, last way past the sweet taste of the low price is gone.
One needs not think simply hypothetically about jobs lost to foreign squatters who are employed not because the quality of their work is superior to that of Americans in the same field, but simply because they are very inexpensive.

They are very inexpensive to the criminals hiring them. They are very costly to the tax payers that are being forced to subsidize their schooling, housing and medical needs.

Darn RIGHT....ain't NONE of us got any more bidness squallin' bout illegals takin' Are JERBS, then we got gripin' about car thieves takin ARE CARS...nor pickpockets a-takin ARE BILLFOLDS...or tax cheats failin' to pay THERE TACKS.
I agree with you...ain't NOBODY got no right to criticize nobody else....but let me ask ya...If we can't criticize no illegals, then home come it's all right fer YOU to criticize US? How come you doant look in the mere and see your OWNSELF? Think yer sumpin' special? I can't hardly believe that.
As my taxi-drivin' buddy used to say, "That ain't hardly FARE".
Ennyways, the best to you....weather or not we agree together.

I won't attempt to analyze your tortured logic...except to comment on the above gems. Are you FOR illegals or against them? Comparing human beings to "wet homeless puppies" may not be the most complimentary way to describe them...(if your aim is to be complimentary, and not derisive...it's hard to tell).
I'll 'bite' though, (get it? "puppies"?..."bite"? ), since I like analogies. If a "wet homeless puppy" wagged its tail, no one would object. Some kindly soul MIGHT even offer the puppy food and shelter...maybe even a home. But if 100 puppies showed up..or 1000...and they weren't all "cute"...and some of them were mean and aggressive..then even the most confirmed 'pet lover' would begin to get overwhelmed. He'd PROBABLY get angry at the puppies' owner..or whoever 'dumped' them...and he'd probably call animal control. A homeless "puppy" is cute....1000 homeless dogs are NOT.
Besides that, illegal immigrants aren't puppies, anyway..they're human beings, and they're at least partially responsible for their own behavior.
As for "laws being broken"? Illegal immigration is a CHRONIC, on-going 'breaking' of the law, not a momentary thing like speeding or jaywalking. It's LIVING in an illegal condition, 24 /7. And the penalty isn't draconian...it isn't jail, or physical assault, or huge fines. The penalty for illegal immigration is to "go home"...period. Go home, and you're in the clear. Few petty criminals are treated that well...or get off that easy.
And since you have chosen to make this a discussion on 'Mexicans' rather than illegals in general, 'going home' is hardly a penalty at ALL. Mexico, as we all know, is a wonderful place...its citizens carry it always in their hearts. Mexico is not a tyranny...it has no concentration camps, no 'ethnic cleansing', no religious violence...it's just a very ordinary, 'run-of-the-mill' place. The only "oppression" most Mexicans face at home is not being able to freely cross into the US.
I think somebody's been playing on your naivete. Mexicans are not oppressed at home. Their basic problem is simply 'frustration'. They are NOT refugees, nor are they 'homeless puppies'.
You want "homeless puppies"? Try Haiti....or Chad...or Sudan. You won't find any 'homeless puppies' among arriving Mexican illegals...(just an occasional pit bull). Mexicans are quite well off as societies go.
