As I have been saying all along, we cannot deport ALL illegal immigrants. We dont have the resources. Even if we cut all benefits, they would still be here as long as they have a job. It was proven in the other thread I provided. Those are the facts...its not about the benefits but about WORK.

Meg Whitman spoke out on immigration policy issues yesterday, saying it is “simply not practical” to deport the estimated 12.5 million illegal immigrants living and working in the United States.
I'm sure she is not in favor of legalizing those that are unemployed.

Whitman also urged tougher measures against those who hire undocumented workers, and said that as governor “I would be an advocate . . . for the people of California to make sure we really do secure this border.”
Im already loving this woman. Secure our borders...YES!
If it is not practical to deport them, what other solutions do you find to illegal immigration? FYI- cutting benefits is clearly not factor for reverse immigration. What other options do we have?
Why should we reward the criminals that crossed the line? It's much easier to make their environment so hostile they self deport. All of this can be accomplished by folding local LE into the deportation process.
I think the people that agree on sealing the borders NOW but want to shamnesty the existing have already accomplished what they wanted. Their illegal relatives are safe and secure here with them so they are ok with slamming the door shut NOW.
It doesn't work that way. Those relatives are still FAIR GAME.

E-Verify
Cancelling birthright citizenship with it possibly being retroactive for Anchor Babies age 12 on down.
Profiling if done respectfully (it is already being used). Spain does it with their suspected illegal aliens and is both Hispanic and a democracy so why the fuss?
Mandate that only US citizens/green card holders can rent/buy property.
WIC etc. in English only.
Do away with ESL in public school classrooms.

She is talking about employer sanctions, fines and jail time, for working illegals.
No need for deporting, or spending money on deporting, if they leave on their own.
No work and they will leave. Simple as that.
Colorado and Georgia, come to mind.

The candidate, 53, said the solution is to find a mechanism that allows them to live here legally. “Can we get a fair program where people stand at the back of the line, they pay a fine, they do some things that would ultimately allow a path to legalization?” she asked.
There is no “back of the line,” and there will be no fines. Nor will the employers be penalized for years of employing illegals. It would be amnesty.
The best solution is to attack the employers. We keep hearing they are only here to work. If that is true, eliminate the jobs. There is no need for deportation. This is simply one of the current “arguments” being used by proponents of illegal immigration to garner support for amnesty.
Ya, she is a big supporter of open borders, Communism, Marxism and Socialism.
Is she really running as a Republican??

Asked if she would favor cutting benefits such as welfare or health care to illegal immigrants, Whitman said that although border enforcement is important she would not support such cuts
I agree with earlier posts!
Make it impossible for an illegal to work or get government assistance..
And watch them find the door quickly!!!
