In a separate lawsuit another illegal immigrant detained during the same period, Ehab Elmaghraby, settled with the U.S. government for $300,000 a few years ago. He was deported to his native Egypt in 2003 after pleading guilty to credit card fraud.

It’s as insane as awarding punitive damages to a burglar because he was manhandled by the homeowners after they caught him sleeping in their bed.

I don't agree with the verdict, but wasn't this case tried in a court of law? If so, then why would you have a problem with it since you guys are all about "upholding" the rule of law.

Wtf is this country coming to? Uh hello? Can we say internment camps? The Japanese never hit us after Pearl Harbor. Oh, but people are just so PC.

There are many people who have had their day in court, and the verdict is a travesty. This, IMO, qualifies.
