Viscous cycle, raids do not work, waste of money.
You’re right. Unless they get serious and start sending these employers to prison, and fine their butts off, it will be business as usual.

As far as I'm concerned, these farmers are milking the system..this has to be one of the cheesiest stories I've read. Still, I understand the temptation to employ underpaid help...after all, "why buy a cow, when the milk is free" ?...

These wealthy rural denizens not only hire illegal help...they're subsidized, too. Call it 'being on the Government teat', if you will. Fifty percent of them admit to malfeasance, and the other fifty percent are liars. "Half and half", I call it. An udder disgrace.

No use crying over spilled milk, though....

Well this whiny american actually grew up on a dairy farm and my property borders yet another dairy farm which is farmed by? Gasp, shock ,
other americans with no assistance from illegals. I do admit that I milk for them on occasion, spread manure and even help them plow.
There isn't a dairy farm in my area that uses illegal labor and yet they are making it. Its a struggle but they are making it.

I grew up in a small town in Michigan there were many farms there. All of the farm hands were legal American citizens. Till this day, it still remains the same.

I am not at all surprised. It is the corporate farms who abuse the system and yet reap the greatest rewards.

Trust me: if you got laid off and your unemployment/savings ran out--------you would do 'scut work' if it meant avoiding homelessness. I certainly would.

This just another reason we need a worker permit program for aliens. Then there wont be any fake papers.Canada has one and it works fine,
