Agree 100% with eliminating the "anchor baby" problem by Consitutional Amendment eliminating instant citizenship if born on U.S. soil. Those who parents have entered the country illegally should not be granted "instant" citizenship.
So, who is the elected representative most likely to sponsor such legislation?
Co-sponsors?
Birthright Citizenship is a major magnet for illegal immigration. If not for the manipulation of the 14th Amendment, illegals would come here to work, but they certainly wouldn’t have millions of children. Nor would they be able to exploit them. I feel nothing but contempt for illegals who use their children for personal gain. I consider them as vile as a person who would give birth for the sole purpose of harvesting organs.
Outside of Canada: name one First World nation that has birthright citizenship unless at least one parent is a citizen. Needless to say; precedent has already been set.
Given how controversial it would be, none. Since it should come with provisions to address other means of legalization.
Why should it include provisions? We already have means for legal immigration. If your parents are illegal, you should also be considered illegal. People who are in this country illegally should not be rewarded by granting citizenship to their children. It’s a travesty, and it needs to end.

Nothing in your post will change my mind regarding birthright citizenship. However, I’m glad you agree it should be rescinded. In my opinion, anyone born to an illegal within the past 10-15 years should not be granted citizenship. Most of these children have dual citizenship anyway. They can simply be citizens of Mexico, like their parents. We will be paying for this farce for an eternity.

I actually don't know if most have dual citizenship. If they already are in the US system, then it really wasn't their fault they were here. Again, assuming they spent the majority of their time in America (this would indicate preference and allegiance). We have a chance to change the current structure of both nations. Let's use this opportunity for good.

I'm interested in reading something detailed from you. Regarding the issues surrounding illegal immigration. I felt your analysis lacked a great deal. So just wondering do you propose?
Remember folks the idea is to come up with solutions... Then determine the positive gain to your solution as well as the possible draw backs. Its fair to critique each others solutions provided viable alternatives are included.
This is how NASA trouble shoots a space shuttle blowing up.

I would venture to say that most children born to Mexican illegals do in fact have dual citizenship. If I’m not mistaken, the Mexican government encourages this practice. To paraphrase -- “Once a Mexican, ALWAYS a Mexican.”
They will have no allegiance to this country, because their parents have no allegiance. Many of these children are raised in environments replete with disdain for this country. After all, we are the bad guys separating their families. We are the bad guys who sent daddy away.
