It’s time to take off the gloves.

Quote:
There has been a 300 percent increase in assaults on agents in the first two months of this fiscal year (October and November) compared to last year — 108 compared to 27 in the Tucson Sector.

Many of these assaults have involved rocks large enough to inflict serious injury or death. The assaults are usually used as a tactic to evade apprehension or draw agents away from other illegal smuggling activity nearby, the agency said. The Border Patrol has countered these tactics with rock-proof vehicles, enhanced body armor and the deployment of less-lethal options for self-defense.

Since a rock can be a lethal weapon; our BP agents better be allowed to retaliate by any means necessary--------including gunfire. And if such missiles are pitched across from the Mexican side---------the same rules of engagement should apply.

Absolutely! It’s ridiculous that our agents are sitting ducks for these criminals. The criminals know the agents won’t shoot. Otherwise, they would fear them.

The thing I dont understand and maybe someone can clear it up for me,is that during wars we have always secured our borders and checked for anyone sneaking in because of the enemy threat . We are at war are we not? How can we allow millions of foreign invaders who are not identified to come in and stay if we are really at war. ?

Because it would be "politicaly incorrect" and even unwise to alienate the millions of people who have already crossed our borders illegally and who are just waiting for an amnesty bill to be passed. Politicians would rather risk the security of the country by failing to enforce existing laws rather than to earn the wrath of such a large potential voting block.

Because, the cheap labor industry has very deep pockets. They want the borders to remain open to ensure a steady flow of cheap illegal labor.

Okay, that's a rather broad statement and odd statement to make.

Your so right, they are sitting ducks. It is just assanine, that they cannot defend themselves, something should be done to change that.
