This is insane.

A prison clerk in a U.S. border state that has long offered illegal immigrants sanctuary has been reprimanded—and may be fired—for notifying federal authorities about arrested illegal aliens brought to the facility.

The records clerk (Clara Aguilar) at Valencia County Detention Center in New Mexico says her job is on the line for assisting state police officers who requested she call Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) regarding newly apprehended illegal aliens. Since 2007, the county facility has notified the federal agency about illegal immigrant arrestees but the system abruptly changed recently.

Clearly, she is prejudiced. Just look at her name.

is she following protocol? is that the standard procedure to take?

if shes not doing her job correctly, regardless of how we feel, then she needs to face the consequences. simple as that.

lets flip this a bit. lets say the procedure was to inform ICE about detainees, but she didnt. and was reprimanded? would that be a problem? im sure most of you would want her to face some consequences.

in the end shes not following the guidelines set forth by her agency. in this situation the procedure is to NOT call ICE. she is obviously overstepping some boundaries.

i think there is more to the story. but i dont trust the source article.
patricularly because they slander richardson by saying he is corrupt when he is not. he was accused of fraud and "pay to play" (around the time barry nominated him for sec. of commerce [coincidentally] )
but was eventually cleared by a grand jury.

garbage article.

Bottom line is we should be enforcing law. Not a Burger King menu of have it your way with some areas allowing two sets of laws for Illegal Aliens. It's complete insanity.
