There is more crime committed in this country by our own citizens. Does the Hutaree Militia movement ring a bell? What about the gangs and the home grown McVeighs? IMO there is nothing worse than a person plotting to destroy their own country.
So don't try to use the so called illegals as a scape goat.
Of course we have more homegrown criminals. That’s to be expected, given that we have an estimated 20+ million illegal aliens, many whom are minors, compared to 300+ million citizens. However, we actually have no idea of the true magnitude of illegal alien criminality, because, until recently, immigration status was not included in crime statistics.
Furthermore, barring most IA children, ALL illegal aliens commit crimes to enable them to illegally live and work in this country. Pro-illegals conveniently ignore the myriad non-violent crimes illegal aliens commit on a daily basis just to live and work in this country. Likewise, a large percentage of incarcerated citizens are guilty of non-violent crimes. Nevertheless, they are still criminals, and we treat them accordingly.
We are in agreement on one aspect. Citizens who plot to destroy their own country are despicable quislings; including, the companies that knowingly employ illegal aliens, the politicians and special interest groups who do their bidding, and citizen advocates. Illegal immigration is destroying this country, and all supporters of illegal aliens are culpable.

Illegals are being used as a scapegoat for what? They are illegals not "so-called" illegals. What has our own criminals to do with the crime of illegal immigration?

The 'la raza/reconquista' mentality is childish at best. Many Mexicans are still sore over losing 1/2 of their land 168 years ago------never mind that Guatemala also told Mexico City to pound sand ca. 1830 yet Mexico does NOT want that territory back. Hindsight being 20/20; the USA should have taken all of Mexico.
When I become President of the USA, we will get all of Arizona!!!! Might take a little interest with that too. I'm thinking Baja, SINCE THE MEXICAN GOVERNMENT STOLE that land from Americans who bought property there.
