Nice. I like mine better.

(So ... do you live in Arizona?)

That is why the law will likely be held unconstitutional. The bill just goes to far, and as detailed as the bill is, it is too vague on this point. There are other constitutional problems with the bill, but this, to me, is the most glaring example.
Actually, that's why the law does not allow that. It's not vague, the law says that they have to be stopped for something else first, so that concern is unfounded. The law also says that race and ethnicity can't be the reason for the questioning (sounds pretty specific too).

My state of residence is irrelevant.

No, but by definition, illegal immigrants DO commit crimes such as identify theft and fraud. I say by definition because in order for them to land many jobs, illegals have to "show their papers" to the employers. These papers are a result of identity theft. These various documents have to have legit IDs on them. And believe me, identify theft is NOT a victimless crime, no not at all. But we don't hear any sympathy on the left for those people, do we?

And that's another thing. Among the mainstream media faux outrage of "show your papers", they don't seem to have a problem with illegals doing mass quantity of identity theft, and "showing their papers" to employers and the gov't (i.e., IRS).

However, I do agree that NAFTA _must_ go, and the first presidential candidate and congressional candidates who advocate this has my vote. Plus, we really need to crack down on MAJOR (not just minor) employers of illegals.
