Hispanic group blames Obama for new bill
http://www.azcentral.com/members/Blog/PoliticalInsider/78684

"SB 1070 is a direct failure of the Obama administration because Obama lied to Hispanics when he promised to pass reform within 90 days of his Presidency," the group stated in a news release.[/color]

Finally..anger on immigration directed at the right place...DC and the current administration.
And with the passing of the AZ bill, the White House has announced that they are dropping immigration reform from their agenda. They say climate problems are a bigger priority.

And this just after Obama promised the Hispanics in DC that immigration reform would be done this year.

So...the Repubs don't want them and the Dems won't deal with them. What are the illegals to do ??

Next, time, would you mind naming this so-called "Hispanic group" in the thread title? (II know this is the title of the newspaper article - if the newspaper doesn't do it in its report, you should in your thread title anyway)

There are thousands of "Hispanic groups" out there, some mainstream, some on the fringe. Don't use vague topic titles to give strange ideas to people.

"Somos Republicans, which is the voice of various Latino Republicans, denounced SB1070 and promised to work against the election of Republicans who support the bill."

Somos Republicans

Good points. In addition, I wanted to note that while the Federal Government as a whole has certainly neglected securing the border, whichever Hispanic group that does blame Obama need not forget why we're trying to secure the border in the first place.

So just what were they expecting? Instant citizenship?
A reward for breaking our laws?
Yep lets empty all the prisons and grant them an amnesty too.

I am still trying to figure out why Mexican Independence Day is celebrated in the U.S. I believe that Hispanic Heritage Month is Sept. 15 - Oct. 15th.
