San Diego tourism leaders and hoteliers fear they could lose a sizable chunk of business this summer from valued "Zonies" who are so angered by elected leaders' recent censure of Arizona for its illegal-immigration law that they're mounting an informal boycott of their own.
The San Diego Convention & Visitors Bureau and several hotels report receiving e-mails and letters from Arizona visitors saying they intend to change their plans to travel here in light of local outcry over their home state's anti-illegal-immigration stance.

Great article

Some of the highlights

"In some cases, it appears that Arizona residents misconstrued the votes taken by San Diego’s elected leaders as calls for an actual boycott of Arizona as opposed to statements of opposition."

Ahh, "MISCONSTRUED" I'm surprised they did not used
the word "MISGUIDED" like the President did

“The City Council did not pass a resolution boycotting Arizona, and I would hope that the good citizens of Arizona understand that and will continue to visit San Diego,”

No but they should have not even commented on this issue
as sometimes you do get what you wish for

Knee jerk reactions can have permanent repercussions...

Politicians (those making all of these proclamations of boycotts) could care less about their residents. They thought America would oppose AZ law, but America LOVES the AZ law against illegal aliens.
I'm watching right now on the news all the back peddling from politicians in California saying things were misunderstood and only a few city employees were advised against going to AZ. What idiots.

YES they do

And the truth will ALWAYS prevail and someday very
soon I predict that most people being of common sense
will know the difference between LEGAL & ILLEGAL and
that it's nothing personal it's just OUR Law

Great! Let’s hope more citizens decide to boycott the pro-illegal AZ boycotters.
