That is interesting because from your posts I get the sense you WANT the US to act more like Mexico....not the other way around. If I am correct...then shouldn't you be praising Mexico for setting a lovely example for the U.S. to follow, rather than calling Calderon an idiot?
I'm not sure where You got that impression, but, for the record...
1) I'm against illegal immigration.
2) I'm against the current mis-interpretation of the 14th amendment
3) I'm against any form of aid to illegals or their children.
4) Employers should be fined for employing illegals, and lose their business license for a second offense
5) Sanctuary cities should lose all federal funding.
6) All federal immigration laws should be enforced .
7) the fence should be built.
8) I support the Arizona law.
Calderon is an idiot for his for his meddling in US law, when what he is really saying is how much he depends on the influx of cash from illegal aliens in the USA. , simply because his country is so poor, and he ,like Fox, have not got a clue ( or intention) of fixing their problems before sticking his nose in our politics.
Just an FYI....Obama, Bush, and both democraps and repugcans are just as responsible for the current problem.
Calderon - "the Arizona law criminalized migration" - well, so does our federal law - illegal migration. We are a sovereign nation and Mexico better get used to it. We're not going to take over the financial obligation of their uneducated, unskilled and unwanted-by-their-own-country folks. We have enough uneducated, unskilled and non-contributing citizens of our own to deal with, along with millions of educated and skilled people without jobs through no fault of their own. We can ill afford to serve as the nanny for their country's bretheren, peasant or otherwise.
Nothing personal, Mexico - just because your country abuts ours doesn't mean you can push whatever you don't want to deal with over to our side of the border. We're pushing it back.
I don't fault Calderon for pushing an agenda that is favorable to his nation. That's what heads of state do and are expected to do. No, my criticism is of our own head of state who not only does not advance the interests of his nation but actually sides with our opponents, in this case Mexico and Calderon. If you listened carefully to Obama's words yesterday he worried that the Arizona law would result in profiling of "immigrants, tourists and visitors" to this country. Mr. President, the illegals are not "immigrants", they're part of an invasion of our country. Neither are they "tourists and visitors." When the president of the U.S. cannot recognize or acknowledge that we are being invaded by a hostile nation it may be time to start considering impeachment.

I agree with all you said except your first sentence. Neither Calderon nor any other leader of any nation should be pushing an agenda that violates the borders of another country for financial gain.
