How do people like this get a job in this position

"The government's stance on the issue has come under greater scrutiny this week since the top official with the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agency told the editorial board of the Chicago Tribune that his department will not necessarily process all illegal immigrants referred to them by Arizona officials. John Morton said a comprehensive federal approach, not a patchwork of state laws, is the best way to reduce illegal immigration"

What is so amazing to me is how the U.S. administration can support Mexico's opinion about the law (and Mexico by the way has a much stronger stance on illegals than we do), but not support a state within our own country who is trying to protect it's citizens. Arizona is absolutely on target with this law and according to a poll I read about in the newspaper, 61% of Americans agree with the law. IMHO, the adminstration is not about us, but about themselves.

I already had this approach applied to my livelihood in 1986. It didn't work then and what makes you think it is going to work now. It only make it worse.

Enforce the damn laws on the books!

The President made an oath to uphold the laws and the Constitution of the UNITED STATES of AMERICA. He has broken that oath daily!!!

Morton should be fired for his statements.

Here's something from that article that jumps out:

" . . . it funnels money to local law enforcement to identify illegal immigrants who commit crimes and target them for deportation."

UH . . .

If someone is an illegal immigrant, they HAVE ALREADY committed a crime in this country!!!!!!

WHAT ABOUT THAT DOES THIS GOVERNMENT NOT UNDERSTAND??
