I love lists. The Princeton Review - not affiliated with the esteemed University - is soon to release their review of 377 American Colleges and Universities. The schools all have similar traits besides being party animals. " .. the schools on this list," said Becky Lofstead, " are mostly large, public universities with strong academic and research profiles, as well as having highly successful athletic programs."

This year my favorite gossip column. Mail Online, published the list of Top 20 Party Schools, and the list of Top 20 Most Sober Schools, in America.

This year Champaign is the #4 party hardy gurrl behind Iowa City, but well ahead of Madison, DePaw, and Knoxville. All is not lost. Wheaton is #2 behind Brigham Young, but ahead of Annapolis, West Point, Colorado Springs, and Pepperdine, as the most sober.

WU in St. Louis took the crown for Best College Dorms and FSC has the most beautiful campus. Don't take any of this stuff too seriously, folks. Princeton Review still has a ton of books to sell.

"The current rankings are in the 2013 edition of 'The Best 377 Colleges,' which goes on sale Tuesday. There are 62 ranking lists, each based on surveys of 122,000 students during the last school year."

Between the various public and private institutions in Illinois there are probably over a hundred campuses in the state. It must make administrators at some of those schools nuts what they get "recognized" for...

At least this poll, study, survey was completed by the students and not an opinion of a journalist or editorial staff.
