One question, since I cannot recall your profession; my apologies:

What if your current employer moved to mandate vaccines for its employees?

I am involved in Social Work in a jail. Currently, neither my social service organization NOR the county jail require vaccinations. I'd definitely be at the ceossroads if either did!
You're lucky. My government job requires it and I put in my notice.

I'm just not going to jump through those hoops and I don't think I should have to. I already know nobody is going to help me if I suffer more side effects from the vax.

Oh, and despite being vaccinated, I got the omicrhon variant anyway. Of course, they won't honor natural immuity even though the scientists agree that it is better than the vaccine. So much for "following the science".
This is telling.

I think so. Others have told me my reaction to the vax is "rare". Uh-huh. They won't believe it until something bad happens to them (with the vax or some other future mandate).

FakeBook Faksysicians!

The irony is with all these workers, they don't want the vaccine in their body yet they will smoke cigarettes, drink alcohol, smoke marijuana, gobble prescription meds like candy on top of all the junk food they can swallow!

The argument I hear from the pro vax community when faced with stuff like this is normally, "well that's just anecdotal, you're in the 1% that had a severe reaction". Ah ok then, that makes it all better then. The vaccine is still safe and effective for everyone else. Or, here's the other one I often hear, "well, you should still be thankful because you could have died to covid". Wow, thanks I feel so much better now. So I could have been in the 1 percent that died from covid, but now I'm in the other 1%. So much better.

I have a Trumpie coworker who smokes and gets drunk every weekend and refuses to get the vaccine.

Add Denmark to the list of countries (UK and Ireland) dropping all covid mandates/restrictions/passports and saying it's time to move on. Spain is about to do the same.

Denmarks vaccination rate of those over 12 is 83%. Spain's vaccination rate is almost the same at 82%.

...and your point is... 82% vaccination rate is good enough? Once we attain that we should just drop all restrictions? Seems silly.
