I'm not sure where to begin my search, so I'm starting with YOU all, hoping your combined knowledge will direct me.
I found an old sepia photograph (12"x14"), printed on some type of photoboard, in my attic the other day, and would LOVE to find out WHERE it was taken.
It shows a picture of a city taken from a river, where a few men are fishing. It appears to be from the early 1900s maybe. The city is a mixture of old and new buildings, a few of which, I'm sure, would be VERY recognizable to someone from that area. The main focal point in the pic is an OLD round building. Would any of you have an idea where I could send this photo to get it ID'd. Is there a website for geography/history buffs??
