I am moving to the Indy area (From Louisville) and am looking to buy a new house. I am looking at a home buy keystone builders. Since I am not from the area I have not heard of them before and was wondering if anyone had any info about them. If you have a Keystone home are you happy with it, do you have unusual maintanance issues? Thanks

Default Keystone

Hi, I looked them up in the local Angies List (has ratings of businesses) and they have no reports from customers. Not many home builders have Angies List reports. The higher rated ones are Arbor, Pulte, and Geryak.

There are SO many home builders here and they would be VERY glad to see you ! Pulte just had a 10% off sale, for example.

I hate to say this as a lifelong resident, but think twice before building in Marion County. Hamilton or maybe Hendricks depending on commute.

Warren can be tricky in spots. I believe you are close to Cumberland, which is good. We looked at some Keystone homes in Greenwood and liked what we saw.

I live in Warren Township, most people would say the farther out the better. I see where you are. That's a pretty quiet area. The builder may be fudging the sq ft upward a little, based on the floor plan they show, so you might check that.

Also your property taxes after the initial honeymoon period will kick in to be about 2-2.5 percent of the sales price, or $250-300 a month on a $175k house.
