Greetings from New Zealand.

Information just recieved from "The Palladium-Item" indicates that some of the first US Herringbone milking parlours (1957) were at Straughn, close to Cambridge City, Indiana. One family involved were the Golay's, following a trip, the previous year, to New Zealand.

I am keen to share my extensive DAIRYING HERITAGE research into stoop-less milking (Echelon, Rotolactor, De Laval, Babson, Tandem & Herringbone) with the families of those American pioneers.

E-mail my research account direct herringbone@hnpl.net and also share your account with a linked post.

Those pioneers were very innovative, for their times, and facilitated great advances in productivity.
