Dear All,

I just put an offer down on a condo right near Pottawattomie Park. Though I may pull out of the deal because I didn't realize how unsafe the area was. I will be walking to the Howard Red Line El stop everyday. Even though I'm a white male in my twenties, I wanted to know how safe it is. I thought the park would be nice for when I get a dog and I would like to go running around this area. However, can someone give me an idea about the crime activity around the park, as I already know that the crime around howard station is not very good. Any info would be great, thanks!

Which town/city is the park your are referring to located in? Kind of hard to answer without that information.

The Howard Red Line stop is on the far north side of Chicago. This is the Indiana forum. I can say that the Uptown/Andersonville area has a sketchier reputation, but I am by no means an expert and would defer to the Chicago forum.
