This weekend I'll be taking my teenage daughter to Columbus for a sporting event. We'll be spending the night on Sat. We'll have a few hours between the time her event is over Sat morning and the time we can check into our hotel. Any suggestions on something to do? Please keep in mind that this is a teenage girl (and she'll be tired) so architectural tours or visits to a special antique store won't cut it.

Also--any neat restaurant we should try for dinner that evening? Casual is probably best. She loves Italian.

Thanks!

What does she like to do? I believe there's an ethnic festival going on this weekend downtown. There are italian restaurants, Tre Becchieri being one off the top of my head. There's always the outlet mall, or just walking around downtown. Mill Race Park is pretty neat with a tower to go up and look around.

Have a look here:

Thanks---the festival sounds like it might be the thing to do--food and fun all at the same place. Although she enjoys shopping, Edinburgh isn't her favorite mall--who knows though. Again, thanks!

The ethnic expo is definitely this weekend. My neighbor said it's really good. There's a parade and lots of food and entertainment. I may need to check it out myself! I'll be in the Notre Dame jersey.

I'll be the short woman with the beautiful teenage daughter. I checked it out online--maybe she can combine a school project into a visit.
