Hi all! I'm taking a trip to Clarksville later in the month and am looking on advice about hotels to stay. So far my top candidates are in Louisville, Kentucky, but I figured I'd cover my basics by asking you folks. Right now my top pick is a Ramada Inn in Louisville, but I'm also considering the Best Western on Zorn Avenue. Should give you some idea of my budget haha.

Also, any idea how possible it is to get a taxi from Louisville to Clarksville? Am I better off just renting a car for an additional $75?

Zorn Ave is a nice, safe part of Louisville. There's not a lot right at that exit, though a couple miles away has lots of places to eat.

I'd also say there's no reason to avoid Clarksville for the same motels. I'd avoid any motels around the Eastern Blvd exit (kind of choppy area) but Lewis and Clark Pky and Veterans Pky are good areas with tons of restaurants.

Not sure about the taxi thing, though I don't see why you could tax from one side to the other. The river is just a political divide, it's all the same urban area

Glad to hear Zorn is a nice area. I actually just finalized my travel plans yesterday and indeed settled on the Ramada Inn on Zorn. I also decided to rent a car to make traveling around the area a little easier. Any places on Zorn in particular you would suggest as nice affordable place to eat? I've gotten a bunch of suggestions so far, but am always open to more
