Hi,
I am not sure if there is a camping forum, but I am in Indiana for awhile, and I need to find a year round campground. I am in a travel trailer. A Google search didn't help much. I am looking between Fort Wayne and South Bend. my little circle of towns I am searching in include Syracuse, Goshen, Albion, Ligonier, Millersburg, Cromwell, that region.

I don't need anything fancy, just somewhere to park with water hookup. electric is a plus, not a requirement. Only place I could find was cottonwood in Ligonier, but they shut off the water already.

I appreciate the help.

Go to rvparkreviews.com, click on Indiana and pick a town. It will give you a quite comprehensive list of RV parks in the area and reviews.

The list is incomplete on rvparkreviews, but it's better than some. There's also the Good Sam website. Good Sam has been around for decades so they have lots of information, but they still don't list all the parks. You'll find some parks on craigslist that don't end up on the other lists, and though they don't have very many listings there the parks are more likely to be the year-round sort. The places are listed in the apartments/housing section and sometimes the real estate for sale section. The search terms to use are RV, or mobile home, or space, or parking. Sometimes you will even come across a private party that has a nice lot with hookups.

I believe I'd check around the lakes between South Bend and Ft. Wayne. I bet there's quite a few campgrounds that are walking distance to the lake where you can park a trailer. Check around Lake Webster or Lake Tippecanoe. I think Lake Wawasee is up in that area, also.

I know that about 8 or 10 miles southeast of Muncie is Prarie Creek Reservoir and there's campgrounds to park a trailer out there. People live in their campers and trailers for months at a time. I don't know why the lakes in Northern Indiana would be any different.
