Thats right, Madison is pretty hilly! I used to ride my bike a lot when I lived in Hayden but never seem to ride it after moving back to Virginia because of all the hills!

Great to see more cyclists on the board!

I think you can see more Madison and bike race shots with this link:

Sorry about that last one.

Anyone else ride off-road?

Versaillles State Park just up SR 421 has some great trails!

Ive got a mountain bike and a road bike. I like my road bike better because it's easier to get up those hills and you can go a little bit faster. I do love off road biking though aswell. I don't care for dirt bikes or motor bikes.

I have a cruiser. I only ride on the New River Trail, there are no hills there!

Yeah, I live in Hanover, and my favorite ride was to go downtown on 56, go up US 421 which is the most beautiful highway in Madison in my oppinion, then go back to Hanover on 62.

I totally love Madison and everytime I'm in the area, I make it a point to visit a few days. If I could find a way to make a living there I would move in a heartbeat. It is hands down my favorite town and the people are great!

I am moving out to Scottsburg from the Boston area this coming weekend. With all of the nice things about Madison written on these threads, visiting when I get out there is on the top of my list of things to experience (sweet corn is the next thing on the list. lol )

Madison is a fantastic place to live. There is the regatta, crystal beach, softball, parks, and the river in the summer. Festivals in the fall, Gardening in the spring, and basketball in the winter. Its as cheap a place to live as any, there is no traffic. I personnally have ~500 relatives in the area, but I could only find a job near frickin San Fransisco Bay. If I could find a job, I would move back in a hearbeat.
