I relocated to the DFW area back in December and I wish my relocation was all done but no... I bought a 1.32 acre lot back in '06 in NW Indy (it's actually Brownsburg) and not much luck selling it... it's priced WAY below market and it's beautiful! we were actually planning on building there until this offer came up.

I'm guessing that since the market for houses is bad, for vacant land is probably worse? what are some things I can do to increase traffic, interest and ultimately offers? I have it listed on the MLS as a flat-fee listing but not sure what else to do.

Thanks!

Just advertise it as much as possible. Brownsburg is a great area, and people are looking for farger lots to build on. If it is priced below market, there is no reason it shouldn't sell eventually. You mentioned you have it on the MLS, but is it being advertised?

I'd recommend going through a REALTOR and have them help with marketing/coordination/sale here while you are in DFW.

Let me know if I can help....Thoroughbred Farms is a beautiful area!!!

How did you know it's in Thoroughbred Farms??? wow, I'm impressed!!!

I actually had it with a realtor (you can probably see that in the history) for over a year without any luck so I figured I would give it a shot myself.

But now that I'm in Texas I find it even harder to do any remote sales work from here. I'm pretty sure my realtor back then had never sold a vacant lot before. Are there real estate agents that specialize in vacant lots? I really need help from someone who knows their stuff..

Thanks!

You might want to think about telling local "on your lot" builders that your land is available as well. People might contact them first and if they know about your land, all the better
