I know Fishers/Carmel/Zionsville are considered the 'best' of the area, but how do Noblesville schools stand to compare? I looked through the threads but didn't see real specific info. We are interested in middle and high schools that would be close to the Marilyn Ridge development, and while I'm at it, is that development half decent? THanks!

I did read up on the ISTEP scores, they looked good but I wondered what the overall feel of the district is-thanks!

Marilyn Ridge is in the Hamilton Southeastern school district. Their HOA has a website :

The Official Marilyn Ridge Site - Noblesville, IN 46060

Not sure which Elementary school ... Thorpe Creek or Fall Creek ... Brookschool??? The district's website breaks it down by subdivision.

HSE HS and HSE Jr. High are all on the same street and not far from your home. You'll do just fine! Just STAY AWAY FROM OLIO ROAD between 7:30 & 9am and 3-4pm ... the busses, oh the busses!!!!

Sorry for bumping an OLD thread, but I suppose its better than starting a new thread and "disconnecting" the old info from the new.

I've read in a number of threads that IPS (Indiana Public Schools?) are generally not highly regarded. However, I get the impression that, in established and up-and-coming suburban communitites, the public schools are much better. Am I getting that right?

It sounds like lots of people send their kids to private school. We're considering the move to the Indianapolis area (Noblesville perhaps) but it comes with a pay reduction. If we have to pay for private schools for 3 kids, I'm afraid the cost is going to exceed the pay reduction and not make this worthwhile.

IPS is Indianapolis school system (not Indiana)-in Marion County. Noblesville is in Hamilton county & HC has some of the best schools in the state. No worries about sending your kids to public schools there. There are a couple of townships in Marion county with OK public schools but overall, it's not very good. The counties bordering Indianapolis/Marion county have very good schools. Hamilton, Boone, Hendricks & Johnson (Center Grove district) are overall very good.

Your welcome Best of luck to you~ You really can't go wrong in Hamilton County. Some people move there JUST for the schools.
