Hi,
On my Earthlink e-mail account i can add any e-mail address to "blocked senders list" and it's blocked .... doesn't go to spam or trash but is simply blocked.
I can't find that option on my G-mail account.
I've created a filter (i guess that's what i'm supposed to do?) for a specific address and on the filter page it says:

"The following filters are applied to all incoming mail:Matches: from (____________ )
Do this: Skip Inbox, Delete it".

But the e-mails from this particular address are still coming into both my spam and trash. They don't come into my inbox but still arrive.
I just want to entirely block this address.
Can i do this?
If yes, will you explain how?
And these e-mails are not even being sent directly by the person who owns this e-mail address (my friend) but are somehow coming from his brothers account to me although they're all from my friends address.
It's all spam .... money making junk, porn sites and other crap.
Grrrrrrrrrrrr !

What you're asking for is not how Gmail works. There are no Gmail filter options that won't deliver a message. That is meant to protect you from not seeing mistakes you might make in your filter setup.

Why do you care about what goes into your spam box? Gmail has terrific spam filtering capabilty, probably better than any other email provider in the industry. My spam box often gets over 100 messages a day and I see spam in my Inbox no more than 2x/month. It's reliable enough that I only check what's in the spam box maybe once a month. I don't really care who sends me ads for pills and adult chat, because I rarely have to lay eyes on those messages!

Your friends brothers email has been hacked. Probably a Trojan that sends garbage to everyone on his email address list.
