6 billion people in the world. I would say at least half are stupid. Out of those half, atleast 10% are really stupid and would fall for scams like that. So according to my calculations millions and millions of people are losing money to scams or beggars. Why would those type of people who are trying to get money out of people stop when so many are willing to fall victim?
I always chuckle at those commercial where the old man says "Honey, I just wont the Australian Lottery."
In fact I had a neighbor who knocked on my door the other night asking for help with her computer. This lady has a masters degree in something or another. My point is she is educated. She said she "ordered" a laptop and they didnt send the screen. So I was like um ok, i checked her "laptop" out and it was some old beat up destkop mini tower without the monitor, i informed her its not a laptop. Long story short, she told me how she won a laptop in a sweepstakes which only cost her 100 dollars to enter. In other words she got scammed.
The point I am getting at is that no matter how educated someone is there are people that will fall victim to their own common sense.
I'm really trying to figure out what the "situation" is, other than you just didn't close your browser and do something else.
You and me both, I wouldn't have given it a second thought, let alone start a post about it
