Free online courses are great but you know the rich and greedy corporations that run this country wouldn't allow "free" anything to last long.

Anyhow, according to this article, free online courses are illegal in MN (go figure!).

OK, I'll admit it... I'm a railroad nut...

Ever wanted to be on a train from Moscow to Vladivostok watching the countryside?

The great Trans Siberian Railway, the pride of Russia, goes across two continents, 12 regions and 87 cities. The joint project of Google and the Russian Railways lets you take a trip along the famous route and see Baikal, Khekhtsirsky range, Barguzin mountains, Yenisei river and many other picturesque places of Russia without leaving your house. During the trip, you can enjoy Russian classic literature, brilliant images by photographer Anton Lange and fascinating stories about the most attractive sites on the route.

It took less than two days for the issue to be addressed. As a native Minnesotan and long-time resident, this story attracted my attention.

There's a reason I tend to hold both the Twin Cities and the State of Minnesota up to the folks in my current City/State of residence as a good example of reasonable/functional government, at least in the general case, and this demonstrates that fairly well, IMO.
