I have a Mac and I'm using Firefox. I'm having trouble when I try to access a Better Business Bureau site (bbb.org or a specific city bbb). The home screen will come on briefly, then I get a white screen with "read maps@gstatic.com" in the lower left corner. The little blue progress bar in the lower right corner hangs at halfway. The site never opens.
I tried the bbb sites with the Safari browser which I rarely use. They worked OK there.
I ran some inquiries about it but couldn't understand much of what I read. I need some help that an old broad can understand.
sorry im not much help
i helped my SO buy a $1200 mac last christmas. she was so happy and insisted on getting it instead of a PC like me. but she just could not grasp how to use it. so she goes to the mobbed apple store in fashion valley and waits hours to get help, and still does not get it.

FWIW, I did some Googling re gstatic+firefox, found this link that has 195 threads from 135 users since 2009 to current having same/similar problems with maps loading. Ideas for solutions are like navels, everyone got theirs, but different
I too saw bazillions of issues, not many of them, they seem to boil down to Java/Google.
As you can see I don't have any Java plugins installed and my Google Earth is 6.1.
