I have a Mac and I'm using Firefox. I'm having trouble when I try to access a Better Business Bureau site (bbb.org or a specific city bbb). The home screen will come on briefly, then I get a white screen with "read maps@gstatic.com" in the lower left corner. The little blue progress bar in the lower right corner hangs at halfway. The site never opens.

I tried the bbb sites with the Safari browser which I rarely use. They worked OK there.

I ran some inquiries about it but couldn't understand much of what I read. I need some help that an old broad can understand.

Thanks!

What version of FF are you running? What extensions do you have installed?

Am currently running FF 10.0, OS-X 10.6.8

Went to United States and Canada BBB Consumer and Business Reviews, Reports, Ratings, Complaints and Accredited Business Listings and <city>.bbb.org and have no issues, works fine.

I have FF 3.6.26, OS-X 10.6.8. If I read it right, the only extension I have is Old Location Bar 2.1.5.

Your link did the same thing as all my previous tries.....nothing....

Reed, Try disabling noscript and see if the problem still exists. You might have to add bbb.org to the noscript trusted sites.

In the address bar type in "about:config"

In the filter field type in "privacy.popups.disable_from_plugins"

It should come back with: Default Integer 2

The only plugins I have installed are:

Flip4Mac Windows Media
Google Earth 6.1
IphotoPhotocast 7.0
Java Plug-in 2 for NPAPI Browsers 13.6.0
Picasa 1.0
QuickTime Plug-in 7.6.6
Shockwave Flash 10.2.152.33
Silverlight Plug-in 4.0.50826.0

Try and go to this URL:

http://www.google.com/earth/explore/...ts/plugin.html

Please let me know what occurs.

You didn't mention anything about what plugins are installed (and versions compared to what I posted)

Do you have Google toolbar installed?

AOL Media Playback 1.0
Default Plugin 2.0
Flip4Mac Windows Media Plugin 2.3.2 2.3.2.6
Google Earth 5.2
Java Embedding 0.9.7.5
MRJ 1.0 -JEP-8.9.7.5
Java 10.0.2

I too saw bazillions of issues, not many of them, they seem to boil down to Java/Google.

As you can see I don't have any Java plugins installed and my Google Earth is 6.1.
