Technically speaking this is a non threaded topic and it can't be threaded as the software doesn't allow it. Threads is a term used to describe where replies to specific posts in a topic are shown under the comment that is being replied too.
The comment part for news stories and blogs are often threaded, here is another example:
It's not becsue there is no relationship with this post and the original. If it were threaded your post would have appeared below mine as reply instead of sequential order. If you're going to have threaded topic you need to be able easily follow the different branches.
It is, but it's a relatively crude interface, at least compare to some.
I prefer the topic format as opposed to a threaded format, the only real advantage to a threaded format is off topic wanderings don't contaminate the main thread.
