So I was surfing the internet once and "accidentally" liked something that was really embarrassing which made it's way on to my facebook. I had to act quickly to delete it before anyone saw that I liked this stupid website.

Anyways, from then on, I always made sure my facebook was logged off, so none of the sites I visited would say I liked it when I didn't.

The other day, despite being logged off, I saw it was saying I liked a company I had never liked!

I'm contemplating getting rid of facebook now, although I don't want to.

If I'm logged off of facebook, will it ever "like" something that I visit on Chrome or Internet Explorer?

No. If you are logged out of facebook on that browser, whatever site that is using the facebook API to push likes to your account would forward you to a page to log back in before continuing.

You're either mistaken and did like it, either accidentally or you forgot about it, or you were logged into facebook at one time and you completed a form or visited a website and did something that liked a page for you.

How do you know the like for the company didn't happen many months ago? Are you looking in your recent activity feed? When did you see it say that?
