My friend had this happen to him once, someone used his email to create an account... I busted into the thing, changed the password, sent this unknown person's friends nasty messages, messed around some more, and then deleted it at my friend's request as he had no want for said account to be open. I got told off by this idiot's friends for "hacking his facebook," I simply told them to advise their guy that if he did not wish for "his" accounts to be messed with that perhaps he should use his own email instead of someone else's. The whole thing was rather amusing.

As a side note, I pity whomever has biteme@(whatever).com as an email... I'm sure that account is damn near unusable with all the spam they get from everyone using it for one thing or another.

This actually happened to me with one my old email addresses, someone got into it and created a facebook page in my name for some reason (probably phishing from my friends or something). The birthdate that is on the account is not the same and because of that, I cannot get into the account. They won't accept any of my forms of ID I have sent them and they will not delete the account. So now there's a random me out there. I have full access to the email account that created it and have reset the password on the account, but as soon as I reset it and logged back in they "temporarily" locked it because I logged in from an "unfamiliar place" and I have zero ability to get it deleted. Pretty annoying. Emailed support and they told me "your ID doesn't match our records, sorry, the account will stay locked until you can provide proof of ownership through a valid federal ID. This decision is final."
