I've had Yahoo as my homepage for years to see headlines and use Yahoo mail.

However, I have been getting absolutely frustrated with their lack of professionalism, their bias to political correctness, the never-ending promotion of anything Kardashian, and their juvenile quality news reporting.

I really hoped that Verizon would have brought some progress to their site when they bought them, but it seems to be degrading more than improving.

What are some other good websites for news, current events, mail, etc?

Oh and please don't give me MSN or the typical, slanted liberal or right wing sites... not interested.

Don’t have a home page? I haven’t had one in forever, just open browser to a blank window and go wherever I want.

You want current events, but don't want any news site on the planet?
(you ruled out all of them. Said you are "... not interested").

Decide who you are, and what you stand for, and you can quit falling for slanted liberal stuff.
There are a host of "right wing sites" that give real news and current events, but if you're
not interested, there isn't much point.

So: what, actually, do you want for news and information on current events?

I agree with you in hating Yahoo. I learned not to click on anything "sponsored" (and it seems every other news story is). What a load of rubbish.

I dumped Yahoo some years back, when many other email systems began blacklisting them because a lot of spam was coming from Yahoo email addresses. (I suspect that was a result of the billion accounts that got hacked.)

Now, Startpage.com is my favorite "home page" and I simply have bookmarks to my email, a news page, and the forums I visit the most. (Along with a daybyday comic.)

You might like Protopage- it allows you to customize your homepage with the news feeds and search engines you choose, plus other features like local weather.

If you are using Chrome, they eight pages you jump to the most frequently
should display themselves below the search field.
