I was given a good plug-in from a computer magazine website which I installed in one computer. I now need to install in another computer, but the link now gets a 404 not found.

Am I able to "extract" the plug-in from my current computer?

Or does anyone have another proven ad blocker? I googled it and found some, but comments under some complained it doesn't work.

Because of the way mobile apps are designed, AdBlock can't block ads in the YouTube app (or in any other app, for that matter). To ensure you don't see ads, watch YouTube videos in a mobile browser with AdBlock installed.
Ad Block and Ad Block Plus works great in any browser.

"uBlock Origin" seems to work great with Chrome.

Including on Youtube.

I was surprised to see Youtube without it and see how many ads they have now.

Showing 7 ads blocked from City-Data, right now.

Another vote for uBlock Origin. It's open source and doesn't have agreements with advertisers like AdBlock does.

Works for desktops and laptops particularly great. Sadly, not available for phones.

Adblock plus which is what I use never blocked anything until recently. It does block them in the sense, you don't see the video ads. You get a white screen and have to click a button that says "Skip Ads". Then you can watch you video. A bit of a pain but better than getting the full ads. I use chrome, this may be different on FF.

I noticed lately like in the past couple of days, more and more ads come up. This was on my phone and my Firestick. No way to block ads there.

I've also noticed in the past few days that ads are filling up my internet world. Even on C-D I got one just now. I'm looking for kitchen carts on Wayfair and every time I click back, forward, or anywhere, I get an ad before I get the site. Getting pretty fed up. Get them on almost every site now.
