I have a ton of episodes of an old podcast that I used to listen to downloaded on to my PC. I enjoy having them on as background noise via my phone. My phone does not have enough storage to download all of them, so I am trying to figure out a way to host them somewhere and then stream them to my phone. I uploaded the to one drive, but I don't like the way I have to play the episodes from there. I want to shuffle everything, and not pick out an induvial episode every time. I have a Android phone, if that makes a difference.

Just about any cloud based storage is going to work just like One Drive. The app on your phone is not able to see that space as something it can access like a directory on your phone. I don't think there is going to be an easy way to do this.
Do you have a router that you can attach USB Storage to? And access it from outside your house? I doubt even that would work.
The problem is you need an app that will let you map a network folder. I don't think there is such a thing.

Don't know about Onedrive, I use Google Drive and it's totally doable.

If they are audio files, there are apps that can do this. Here's a "Top 5" list, there are others I'm sure.

I use Muzecast which is a full featured music app. It is cloud capable as well. It's in the play store.

For video files it's even easier. Just use the Google Photos app. Upload them to your google photos from your PC. You DON'T need a gmail account to setup a free google account by the way but it you have an Android phone you probably already have one. Go to the google play store and search for "Google Photos". Download it and install it. Open it and you should see your files, tap on them to play them.
