and posting it, using the same method doesn't yield any results.
Why I am getting the same music link in a different format?
Clicking on that link, it resolves back to a v= and opens the video just fine.
I don't get the "doesn't yield results" part, what do you mean and what do you mean about different format?
The "si=" link works but as I mentioned, it goes back to a "v=" when it starts playing. I think the "si" part refers to the user that is sharing.
They are just URLS that YT uses. It either works or it doesn't. When you click "share" it will give you a totally different URL.
Here is the "share" URL for that same video. As you will notice, it is shortened and simplified. Maybe that is the one you should use. https://youtu.be/W32Rp3anECY
si=xibDtfd_J7cIWAiw in YouTube brackets won't work. See below.
v=W32Rp3anECY
obviously does.
Previously I always used "share" link to post videos. They were v= before, now I get them only in si= format that doesn't work.
Not sure how to explain better, though...
I see it is the preview on the web page you are referring to, not actually clicking on the link. Must be the browser on your phone or City Data web site that is not parsing that link correctly.
The si link works on a pc when you click on it, the si does appear in the address bar but then quickly changes to the correct v= link all by itself and it plays fine.
Question is, where did the "si" link come from. If it doesn't work, don't use it.
