Sounds like a good deal, right? All you have to do is get Firefox 3 during Download Day to help set the record for most software downloads in 24 hours - it’s that easy. We're not asking you to swallow a sword or to balance 30 spoons on your face, although that would be kind of awesome.

The official date for the launch of Firefox 3 is June 17, 2008. Join our community and this effort by pledging today.

If you want to follow the quest for the record, here's a link to a page that displays it more visibly than the download page.

I downloaded it and installed it on one computer. Trying to get all my extensions to work before I install it on my other machines.

I only had three addons that worked after downloading. Later that day, I got a popup message saying three more had updates, so I took care of those.

BTW, if you already have FF, just download FF3 over the old one.

Text Area Word Counter, Quitomzilla, coComment and Linkification don't work with FF3. I hope they're updated soon.

I downloaded it both at home and at work. I don't yet know if the record was made as hoped, but I did my part, too!
