I would think that it’s the challenge of doing it and getting into someone else’s computer. Very much like shoplifting and trying not to get caught ~ “stealing items or information” not much different, it just puts them as the thief breaking and entering.
I think sometimes these people do it simply because they CAN and for the challenge. It is quite a head trip to be able to do things like that I would imagine. Sometimes it is done strictly for illegal reasons. Let's face it, there will always be people out there pushing the limits and breaking the law, no way around that. Best thing to do is to protect yourself anyway you can, and keep your fingers crossed!
If they can put caller ID on our telephone sets both cell phone and landlines why can’t they require ID over the internet before you COME INTO my PC without me okaying it first. I don’t want to answer my phone I shouldn’t have a pc that allows you to come in without me knowing first.
I don't know why they do it but I think it's pretty mean!! I think whoever starts viruses, trojans and worms are mean, too! It took me weeks to get rid of a worm. But my computer never worked right after that. I lost a lot of pics I can;t replace and had to get another computer.. Hackers are mean!!
