A money market mutual fund is one of the dumbest places you could put your money today. Instead, are you eligible for membership in a good credit union? Mine pays more than ten-times the interest of a typical mm fund (which is still not very much), without the risk of "breaking the dollar." Typical mm fund: Vanguard Prime -- 0.04% as we speak . . . Fidelity -- 0.01%. Even my bank pays more than that.
