Are you investing in the next tech bonanza, the Internet of Things or as Cysco calls it, the Internet of Everything.

The stocks that I currently have under consideration are GE, Intel, Cisco, and AT&T.

Can you think of any others, or do you have reservations as to the profitability in this new market sector of technology?

Ft is one moronic idea to charge for news LOL.

I think all those companies (GE, Intel, Cisco and AT&T...) will on the end become either Apple or Google. But on the end when fight is over everything will become Apple. They are going to have great future in next 10-20 years.

I'm sorry about that. Let me find a more user friendly IoT article.

Thanks for the usable link.

It sounds like a lot of hype to me. All companies are continually incorporating the internet into their business model, so I don't think that you can predict which company would succeed or fail solely based on how "connected" they are. There are other factors that I think are more relevant.

I look on the incorporation of internet into our daily lives as comparable to the 1920s when radios were one of the main drivers of the stock market boom...until...everyone had a radio. Then it (radio) just became a commonplace object that no one got really excited about anymore.

I am not a fan of "thematic" investing if you want. There is often more hype than anything of substance.

I would tend to agree, that is the reason for the thread.

Recently, I've been researching tech stocks, and continually saw reference to IoT.

GE is partnering with Intel, Cisco, and Verizon as it expands its Industrial Internet. The Industrial Internet is a facet of the Internet of Things.
