I made a sample portfolio of the last tally top 4 stock picks of 13 stocks and weighted them equally from January 23rd, to compare them with my own portfolios for this year. I wanted to do the top 8 picks of 26 stocks but figured these would give a good indication.

The result is a very nice 20.36% improvement.

If anyone owned Amazon stock is listening you can thank us. I think our household increased our purchases at Amazon 500% over the year before and that was very high too . I think you should send me a dividend check to thank me.

After each month end I go back and add in dividends/splits. I'll try to do it this weekend.

That shouldn't be a priority. The suspense is good. Get healthy my man, and no worries.

Tom you are doing a great job keeping this updated.
For 2018 I am perfectly content to let you run this, if you want. I'll make my picks of course, but you have found a better way to run the game instead of on excel spreadsheets.

Oh and how can a new person join in the game? How do we get started?

Funny you mention this BeerGeek, because with all the people talking about joining midstream, I was thinking about posting about how, once this is set up, that other than dividends, it practically takes care of itself. All the heavy lifting was done by you at the beginning. I wanted to ensure I was NOT getting in your way. I designed this to assist you.

That said, I do think only having one entry point a year stifles interest from a lot of folks.
