I have read the article 3 times now. His primary mistake is thinking of himself as a seasoned investor. He is a speculator with a low tolerance for risk.

Yeah I got half way through and pulled the rip chord. Why would I listen to a person who sold after the '87 crash, was not diversified in 2000 and made so many basic investing mistakes?
