Had to sell two shares of BDX to raise enough $ to take my RMD. Otherwise, I'm sitting tight. Happy with my portfolio's holdings right now. Nice performance.
Sold out of my oldest stock holding today, BAC. Held it since 2010 and did pretty well with it, but I no longer wanted to be a bank owner after the dividend and share buyback freezes during the Covid period. I was getting tired of being a whipping post for The Fed and politicians and had been looking for an excuse to get out. Warren Buffett's letter this weekend discussing regulatory risk finally spurred me to do it.
Rolled a portion of the proceeds into my EVVTY, HD and V positions, and keeping some cash in the account, but will use a large portion of it to pay off my 22 year old son's truck loan. He's been working very hard on getting his financial act together for the last year, so I figure this will give him some room to breathe. Good solid kid, he deserves the assist.

I bought GH as a long term. Paid 22.
But I bought a Put, too. March 20s.
Glad I did, so far. The stock tumbled after earnings release. Looks like an important product is having trouble, but I want to hang in there because if it works out it will be a big money-maker.
I think I'll ride out my Puts until mid March and see how I do.
Oops. That trade fell apart.
GH reported earnings and they weren't all that great. So it began to slide. At 19 my Stop Loss triggered and I was sold out. Lost 3K.
Seeing that the chart showed the stock headed South, I decided to go that way and bought another 10 Mar 20 Puts.
So now I no longer own the stock, but I am holding the Puts. The stock has continued to fall and is now 18.50. If it falls to around 17, the Put would be worth around 3.50, and at that point I could get out with my ass still in place, although perhaps a little red.
Return of investment is more important than return on investment.
Natera - NTRA - is doing very well. I began buying it at 25, after I dumped Invitae - NVTA. They just reported a very good quarter and after hours trading is at around 85$. It has a long way to go, though, and I hope to be able to keep the 1000 shares until they are worth several hundred dollars.
