It's been kind of a while ride these past few months. Lots of pretty dramatic swings, at least in my portfolio (tech/EV heavy). Anyone care to speculate what the next couple of weeks might bring?
Nope, not at all. What the heck do I know about what Mr. Market is going to do? The only speculating I do is about whether or not a stock I'm interested in is cheap enough to buy.

About about where I (we, multiple accounts) started in Jan 01, 2021.
2021 is a wild ride. Can't wait until it becomes a "was"
Know that you make your money at the buy and not the sell.

You have no gains YTD???? I am up in all accounts an average of 14% for the year. That includes a considerable cash (MM) position. How are you even for the year?
The rotation from growth to value will continue and probably accelerate. The fed is raising rates, which is not good for all the growth/momo stocks with high PE ratios.

He's not the only one. I'm also even for the year. Up 8% around Sept 1. (In the account I manage - I'm not including other accounts) Since then, all the gains have evaporated like a some sort of a science experiment. You might say it's been a bad quarter.
I really hope for a Santa Rally but I doubt it. Market seems middling to me for a while. Started to cool off late August and September was a loss. Some nice gains for October only for November to give back a bit. December seems to be a 'loser' but I hope I'm wrong. Will end up with a higher NW but probably will lose some more at year end.
